Remove front and center lower engine compartment paneling

 Installation: Install front and lower center engine compartment lining only after leak test.

Detach oil lines (9, 10) from oil cooler (1)

Seal openings in oil cooler  (1) using suitable stop plugs

 Record plug

Pinch off coolant hoses (11, 12) using pinch-off pliers

Remove coolant hoses (11, 12) from oil cooler (1)

Seal connections of coolant hoses (11, 12) on oil cooler (1) with protective covers

Seal coolant hoses (11, 12) using protective covers

Push retaining clip (8) in upward direction and remove oil cooler (1)


Carefully push the retaining clip (8) upwards.
Otherwise the retaining clip (8) will be damaged.

If retaining clip (8) is damaged



secure oil cooler (1) at position marked by arrow using repair bolt (6) and washer (7).

Install in the reverse order



Check fluid level in automatic transmission and adjust to correct level
