Remove

1

Shift transmission in to position "P".

Remove adapter housing (1).

Unscrew collar nut (2).

 Socket wrench bit

Remove output flange (3).

 Puller, two-arm

Use suitable tool to pry radial shaft sealing ring (4) out of transmission (5).


Do not damage the transmission housing (5).
Otherwise leakage may occur.



Check

Check seating of radial shaft sealing ring (4) for damage.

If damage is visible,



Replace transmission housing (5).

Install

Coat new radial shaft sealing ring (4) with transmission oil.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

Using drift, press new radial shaft sealing ring (4) into transmission housing (5) until drift makes contact with transmission housing (5).

Install output flange (3).

Tighten new collar nut (2).

Install adapter housing (1).

Correct transmission oil level.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check transmission for leak tightness and proper operation.
