Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position and fix steering wheel in place with holding device


Do not turn the steering wheel when the steering coupling has been detached.
Otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter

Remove center and rear lower engine compartment paneling

Release and disconnect high voltage of the electrical A/C compressor

Unclip high-voltage line from charge air cooler bracket and place to one side

Detach CAT from exhaust system in the center

Unclip engine management control unit with bracket and place to one side with connected lines

Unclip electrical line from right vibration damper (10)

Remove screw/bolt (1) from left and right front engine mount (2) and remove the vibration damper (10)

Detach coolant hose to heater cooler at bulkhead

Mount engine hoist and raise engine

Remove screw/bolts (5) from left and right front engine mount (2) and remove both front engine mounts (2) downwards

 Always replace front engine mounts (2) in pairs.

 Observe environmental protection regulations for disposal of the engine mount (2). Dispose of front engine mount (2) into mixed scrap.
