| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove front and center engine compartment linings. | ||
Installation: Only install engine compartment paneling after leak test. | |||
2 | Drain off coolant. | ||
3 | Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter. | ||
4 | Remove coolant hoses from electric coolant pump (M75/11) and seal openings with protective covers. | ||

5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) and unclip electric line from electric coolant pump (M75/11). | ||
6 | Unclip subharness (2) from electric coolant pump (M75/11). | ||
7 | Remove screws (3). | Screw, coolant pump to timing case/crankcase/oil pan | |
8 | Remove electric coolant pump (M75/11). | ||
| Check | ||
9 | Check elastomer bearings of electric coolant pump (M75/11) for damage. | If damage is present, | |
| |||
replace elastomer bearing. | |||
10 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

11 | Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness. |
