Remove/install

Remove coolant temperature sensor of common rail diesel injection system (CDI)

Detach coolant hoses (3, 5, 7) at coolant thermostat (1)

Inspect condition of coolant hoses (3, 5, 7), collar clamps (4, 6) and screw clamp (8), replace if necessary.

Unscrew screws (2)

Installation: Pay attention to different lengths of bolts (2).

Take off coolant thermostat (1) at cylinder head

Installation: Replace molded rubber gasket (9), clean sealing surfaces. The coolant thermostat is an integral part of the housing.

Install in the reverse order
