Remove/install

Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery(G1).

Remove poly-V-belt.

Remove circulation pump 2 for low-temperature circuit (M43/7) and place to one side.

Remove guide pulley (1).

Remove contact protection (3).

Remove electric line B+ (4) at alternator(G2).

 Nut, circuit B+ to alternator

Remove bolts (5).

 Screw, alternator to major assembly carrier/oil filter

Release, disconnect electrical connector at alternator(G2) and remove alternator(G2).

Install in the reverse order.

 Warning

Risk of burn injuries, suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.
