| Remove/install | ||
1 | Drain off coolant. | ||
2 | Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2). | ||
3 | Remove the securing clamp (3). | ||
4 | Pull coolant temperature sensor (1) out of the thermostat housing (5). | Collect escaping coolant. | |
| Check | ||
5 | Check sealing ring (4) for damage. | If there is a problem, | |

replace coolant temperature sensor (1). | |||
6 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

7 | Read out and delete fault memory. | If a new coolant temperature sensor (1) was installed. | |

8 | Perform engine test run and check coolant circuit in the area of the coolant temperature sensor (1) for leak tightness. |
