Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing engine oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

 To do this remove drain screw from oil pan and catch engine oil in a suitable container.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Remove carrier together with poly-V belt tensioning device

Remove front radial shaft sealing ring

Remove screw/bolts (1) from end cover (2) at crankcase

Remove screw/bolts (3) from end cover (2) on oil pan

 Pay attention to different lengths of screws.

Remove end cover (2)

Check condition of pilot bushing for end cover (2) at crankcase and replace if necessary

Clean contact surfaces of radial shaft sealing ring and the end cover (2)

Do not use sharp-edged or pointed objects to clean sealing surface.
The sealing surface can get damaged otherwise.

Apply sealant to end cover (2) and to oil pan

Place end cover (2) on oil pan and crankcase

Tighten screw/bolts (3) from end cover (2) on oil pan

 Pay attention to different lengths of screws.

 Bolt, oil pan top section to bottom half of crankcase

Tighten screw/bolts (1) from end cover (2) at crankcase

 Bottom half of crankcase to crankcase

Install front radial shaft sealing ring

Tighten drain screw

Pour in engine oil and correct


