Open right rear service flap

Release and unscrew filter element (1)

Ensure that the auxiliary heater (2) does not start up unintentionally. Dispose of filter element in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Screw on new filter element by hand

Do not use a tool, in order to avoid damaging the sealing ring.

Oil the sealing ring lightly.

Carry out function check of auxiliary heater

Check the filter unit for leaks.
