1 Engage parking brake and switch on ignition.

Depending on the vehicle equipment, the installed indicator lamps must all go on.

The following indicator lamps go out after a few seconds:

Bulb failure indicator light (1), ASR active (3), high-voltage battery reserve (4), engine diagnosis (5), seat belt buckled indicator (6), ABS (7), brake lining wear indicator (8), brake fluid indicator (9), SRS (11) and ESP (12).

2 Start engine.

All indicator lamps that have not yet gone out, except the parking brake indicator (10), must go out.

If the fluid level in the brake system and the windshield washer reservoir is too low or in the event of a system error, the corresponding indicator lamps, with the exception of the parking brake indicator (10), are constantly on.

3 Check the indicator lamps for left and right turn signal lights (13) by switching the flashers on the combination switch on and off.

4 Check the high beam indicator lamp (14) by switching the high beams on and off on the combination switch.
