Remove

1

Apply the parking brake and release lightly the wheel clamping nuts

Lift vehicle and support it on racks located under the front axle beam

 The easels must be supported on the axle ends.

Remove the front wheels

Remove wheel hub (4)



Dismount the wheel hub (4)

Clean

Remove the lubricating grease used on wheel hub (4) and tapered bearings (3, 5)

 Do not use solvents to remove the lubricating grease and clean the bearings and the wheel hub. For cleaning, use a clean and lint-free cloth.



Check

Check the tapered bearings (3, 5) for wearing or damages

 In case of wear or damage in any of the bearings - either internal or external - or their races, they should be replaced always in pairs.
If necessary, replace tapered bearings with separated invoice.



Install

Mount the wheel hub (4)



 Lubricating grease rigorously the tapered roller bearings (3, 5). Refill the wheel hub (4) and the cover (11) with the prescribed amount of lubricating grease.

 Install a new radial seal ring.

Install wheel hub (4)



Install the front wheels

Lower the vehicle from the easel and tighten the fixing nuts with the prescribed torque
