Do not touch bonding surface (1) with bare fingers. The bonding (1) should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.
1 Paint cover (2) to match color of car.
2 Remove adhesive tape from bonding surface (1) on cover (2).
3 Apply cleaner to bonding surface (1) on cover (2) with piece of the paper towel and wipe off with other piece of paper towel.
Apply cleaner only to bonding surface (1). Allow cleaner to dry completely.
4 Apply primer to bonding surface (1)
Observe processing instructions for primer to prevent adhesion problems with the adhesive material when gluing in.
5 Remove sheet metal nuts (3) from old cover (2) and install new cover (2).
6 Pull new puller nuts (4) into cover (2) for license plate bracket.
Hand rivet tool (for blind rivet nut)

7 Install new Mercedes star on cover (2).
