2 | Unclip catch hook (6) and lift shift lever cover (3) | Carefully unclip shift lever cover (3) to prevent scratches or breakage | |
Installation: Ensure that guide (5) and catch hooks (6) are seated properly. | |||
3 | Lift shift lever cover (3) until electrical connector (4) is accessible | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) from child seat recognition airbag off indicator lamp (E16) | ||
5.1 | Unplug electrical connector (7) | Only on vehicles with code (I32) Smoker set (FFO) | |
To disconnect electrical connector (7) remove retainer lock (8) | |||
6 | Unclip brackets (9) from gearshift lever boot (1) | Installation: Gearshift lever boot (1) can only be clipped in correctly in one position | |
7 | Remove gearshift lever cover (3) | Route gearshift lever boot (1) through opening in gearshift lever cover (3) | |
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
9 | Perform function check |
