The stamping guide must be installed in the standard field.
1 Insert number stamp (2) or letter stamp (2) into guide of extension block (1) and fasten.

Ensure that number stamp (2) or letter stamp (2) is aligned correctly with typeface.
2 Start with number stamp (2) "Mercedes star" in window plate at bottom.
The tips (arrows) of the "Mercedes stars" should point toward left. Move each subsequent number stamp (2) or letter stamp (2) one increment upward on window plate scale

3 Then position letter stamp (2) "W" on bottom edge of first increment of window plate and punch in.
4 Punch in vehicle identification number and align with "Mercedes star" stamp (2)
