1 Start with number stamp (5) "Mercedes star" in stamping field (A) on window plate (1) at left bottom
The tip of the Mercedes star should point upward in the script.
2 Then position letter stamp (6) "W" with left edge on first increment of scale of window plate (1) in stamping field (A) and punch in
3 Move forward with each subsequent letter stamp (4) one increment on the scale in the window plate (1) until the complete vehicle identification number (area A) and the final Mercedes star have been punched on stamping field (A) in the cross member (4)
