| Disassemble/assemble | ||
1 | Remove rear wheel hub | ||
2 | Remove inner tapered roller bearing (4) from rear wheel hub (2) | ||
3 | Drive out the inner outer race (3) | Drive out using a suitable drift. | |
4 | Drive out outer race (1) | Drive out using a suitable drift. | |
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. | Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. | |
5 | Check thrust ring (5) for running in scores, remove if necessary | Spot drill the thrust ring (5), split using a chisel and then remove. | |
Installation: Heat up the thrust ring (5) to approx. 80 °C and push on as far as the end stop. | |||
6 | Assemble in the reverse order |
