Removing
1 Position three shims (3) with an
outside diameter of 40 mm and an inside diameter of 10 mm, as shown, on the differential (2).
2 Position clamping pliers (5) and puller (4) on the tapered roller bearing (1) of the differential (2).
Make sure that the shims (3) do not slip, as otherwise the tapered roller bearing (1) will not be able to be removed.

3 Clamp differential (2) in vise (6).
Use protective jaws.
4 Remove tapered roller bearing with clamping pliers (5) and puller (4) from the differential (2) by turning the spindle (7).
The tapered roller bearings must always be replaced in pairs.

Install
5 Insert differential (2), as shown, into the hydraulic press (8).
Hydraulic press (8) 25 t

6 Press tapered roller bearing (1) using drift (9) and hydraulic press (8) all the way on.
When the tapered roller bearings (1) are replaced the associated bearing shells must also be replaced.
