Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |
1 | Remove fan shroud | ||
2 | Install a guard plate for radiator/condenser | ||

3 | Remove guide pulleys (4) | Two bolts attaching the coolant pump (2) are located behind the guide pulleys (4). | |
4 | Disconnect coolant hose (5) and coolant hose (6) at coolant pump (2) | To prevent leaks, check condition of coolant hoses and hose clamps, and replace if necessary. | |
5 | Unscrew bolts for coolant pump to timing case cover (7) | | |
6 | Remove coolant pump (2) | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace the gasket to prevent leaks. | |
7.1 | Detach belt pulley of coolant pump (1) | Only if coolant pump (2) is replaced. | |
Unscrew bolt for belt pulley on the coolant pump (3). | |||
