Remove upper timing belt cover (1)

Disconnect camshaft rpm sensor
connector (X47)

Remove tensioning pulley (2) for poly-V-belt tensioning device on refrigerant compressor

Remove crankshaft belt pulley

Remove belt pulley (3) of coolant pump

Remove bolts on lower timing belt
cover (4)

The lower timing belt cover (4) is fixed in place by six bolts.

Carefully pull the lower timing belt cover (4) to the rear and remove upwards

Installation: Ensure correct seating of the connector (5) in the lower timing belt cover (4) otherwise the crankshaft rpm sensor can be damaged.

Install in reverse order
