Service Information: Safety code as theft protection

 If, on the above-mentioned vehicles, the radio is disconnected from the on-board electrical system, a safety code is required to reactivate it.

This safety code is set at the factory to 0000 and it can be changed. If the code is changed, the new safety code must be documented. Please notify your customers of this.

If the code is lost, a chargeable master code (see OF82.60-P-3000-01A) can be requested from the supplier. This master code then has to be entered in combination with the device's serial number into the VeDoc system.
