Modified elastomer bearings for rear rear-axle carrier attachment:

Since the start of production of the above-mentioned models (including AMG variants), different elastomer bearings have been installed at the rear-axle suspension subframe. The overall heights (a) of the elastomer bearings differ by up to 7.5 mm, depending on the version.

To compensate for the difference in height of the named elastomer bearings, the supplementary straightening tool set 7204.507 must be used with the basic straightening tool sets 7204.500 and 7212.500 when placing the vehicle with installed rear axle on a CELETTE straightening bench.

The basic straightening tool sets 7204.510 and 7212.510 and the supplementary straightening tool set 7218.509 already contain the supplementary parts (1) required for the respective model series.

 Users of the universal straightening systems from CAR BENCH and CAR-O-LINER are not affected.
