1 Rechargeable battery
Arrow Crystallization
In some instances, the rechargeable batteries (1) of the Star Diagnosis SDconnect multiplexer may exhibit tarnished contacts or a
crystallization (arrow) on the contacts.
For affected Star Diagnosis SDconnect multiplexers this is indicated by a reference on the SDconnect display
"! Batteries cannot be charged!"
With regard to an operating system update to the SDconnect using the Star Diagnosis Update DVD 07/2011 all affected devices must have the rechargeable batteries checked and, where necessary, cleaned.
In the event that individual rechargeable battery cells are defective, all rechargeable batteries must then be replaced (for information on rechargeable batteries see SDconnect Manual, Chapter 2.3.2).
If, after replacing the rechargeable batteries, no improvement is forthcoming, the device has to be replaced.

The following display disappears when rechargeable batteries are cleaned or replaced
"! Batteries cannot be charged!" and the charging process shows an effect after 2-3 minutes.
