Location
The additional tank control unit is located on the upper left in the center armrest.
Task
The additional tank control unit controls the auxiliary fuel tank fuel pump (M3/1). This task is split up as follows:
Reading in of sensors and signals
Evaluation of input factors
Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
The additional tank control unit reads in the following signals over a direct line:
Circuit 15
Circuit 31
Switch-on signal (ground) from the auxiliary pump switch (S36/2)
Auxiliary fuel tank fuel level from the auxiliary fuel tank fill level sensor (B4/3)
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The additional tank control unit actuates the additional tank relay (K27/8) over a direct line and therefore switches the auxiliary fuel tank fuel pump On or Off.
