Disconnect battery ground line



Open fuse and relay module

Remove left door sill molding

 Part discontinued.

Remove lower side trim from left A-pillar

 Turn floor covering to one side until the cable duct is accessible.

Remove cover below left of instrument panel

Remove left rear panel trim

 Only unfasten until a line can be routed to the contact switch.

Remove right floor covering



 Only fold back until the base plate is exposed.

Remove right footrest

Remove right rear panel trim

 Only unfasten until a line can be routed to the contact switch.

Remove right door sill

 Part discontinued.



 The series door sill with studs is replaced by one without studs.

Carry out function check

 The illuminated door sill molding is activated by operating the contact switch.
