1 Cut both brown/gray (br/gr) leads immediately adjacent to each connector (see scissors).

2 Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) in vehicle as shown in figure starting at left A-pillar.

3 Route wiring harness for illuminated door sill molding to fuse and relay box (F1), along existing wires and fasten.
4 Insert tieout with red (rt) lead into free chamber for fuse 9.

5 Route short tieout with brown/gray (br/gr) lead for converter (7), converter connector (10) and illuminated strip connector (11) to left A-pillar.
6 Fasten converter (7) and converter connector (10) to existing wires as shown in figure and route illuminated strip connector (11) along brown/gray (br/gr) lead to left door and fasten.
7 Separate brown/gray (br/gr) lead for left door contact switch from taillamp wiring harness, frame floor system and check.
8 Solder brown/gray (br/gr) lead from illuminated door sill molding wiring harness to brown/gray (br/gr) lead from taillamp wiring harness and insulate.

9 Route long tieout with brown/gray lead from illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) along existing wires behind center console to right side of vehicle and fasten.

10 Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (1) along existing wires in right footwell and fasten.
11 Fasten converter (7) and converter connector (10) in footwell at bottom right (see magnified section)
12 Route 2-pin illuminated strip connector (11) and brown/gray (br/gr) lead to right door.

13 Route brown/gray (br/gr) lead between floor covering and inner door sill molding to right door contact switch (S17/4) and fasten with felt strip.
14 Route brown/gray (br/gr) lead behind side wall paneling to right door contact switch (S17/4) and fasten.

15 Disconnect connector from right door contact switch (S17/4) and expose brown/pink (br/rs) lead over a length of 50 mm .
16 Solder brown/gray lead from illuminated door sill molding wiring harness to brown/pink (br/rs) lead and insulate.
17 Connect connector to door contact switch (S17/4) and clip door contact switch back into cutout.
