| Remove/install | ||
1 | Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery. | ||
2 | Remove respective front door sill. | ||
3 | Lift floor covering in area of left B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164) or right B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164/1). | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connection (2). | ||
5 | Remove nut (3). | ||

Nut, acceleration sensor for entrance area to holder | |||
6 | Unclip left B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164) or right B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164/1) from holder (4) and remove. | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| Check | ||
8 | Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system. | If the left B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164) or right B-pillar body acceleration sensor (B164/1) was replaced. | |
