Risk of injury caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.

Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.

Remove/install

Disconnect ground cable for batteries

AR54.10-S-0003E

Remove front headliner

AR68.30-S-7607E

Release clamps (2)

Disconnect electrical connector (4) from left front windowbag squib (R12/14) or right front windowbag squib (R12/15)

5

Remove screws/bolts (3) and windowbag (1)

 Bolt, left and right windowbag retention system mount

Install in the reverse order



Check

7

Connect diagnostic system and check supplemental restraint system (SRS)

If windowbag (1) was replaced.


