2 | Remove screws (1), remove cover (2) | ||
3 | Raise carpet | Shim with suitable tool (possibly hammer handle) | |
4 | Open cap (5) | ||

6 | Disconnect airbag/seat belt tensioner connector coupling (A10.1) | The defective airbag unit and seat belt tensioners must be disposed of properly and in an environmentally-appropriate way. | |
7 | Remove control unit (A10). | Installation: Observe installation position of control unit (A10) (arrow) | |
8 | Install in the reverse order | Do not move vehicle without control unit (A10) |
