Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Move front seat at left or right to foremost position.

Remove lower B-pillar trim.

Release electrical connector(1) and disconnect.

Unscrew screw (2) and remove side airbag sensor (3).

 Installation: Complete, flat contact between the bushing and the contact area on the vehicle is necessary at all times to guarantee signal transmission.

 Screw/bolt, frontal acceleration sensor to B-pillar

Install in the reverse order.
