Remove/install

Remove lower B-pillar trim.

It is not necessary to remove the belt end fitting.

Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery.

Unscrew bolt (1).

Bolt, sidebag sensor to B-pillar

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Remove left side airbag sensor (A53) or right side airbag sensor (A54).

Install in the reverse order.

Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing the left side airbag sensor (A53) or the right side airbag sensor (A54).
