Remove/install

Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery.

Remove seat backrest trim (1).

Unhook shackles (2) of seat cover (1) from seat frame (3) far enough to gain access to side airbag (4).

Unscrew nuts (5) from side airbag (4) and remove electrical line (6).

 Nut, sidebag unit to backrest frame

Release and disconnect electrical connector (7) on driver side airbag squib (R12/9) or front passenger side airbag squib (R12/10).

 Removal lever

Remove side airbag (4).

Install in the reverse order.
