Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m)

Disconnect ground line to battery

Remove headliner

Release and disconnect electrical connection (1)

Unscrew nuts (2)

 Windowbag gas generator nut/bolt

Remove bolt (3)

 Bolt for windowbag check strap

*BA91.60-P-1008-01A

Remove screws/bolts (6)

 Screw for windowbag in the latching plate area

*BA91.60-P-1009-01A

8

Remove front tab (7) from hook

9

Unclip windowbag unit (8) from brackets (9) and remove

10

Install in the reverse order



Check

11

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system

When replacing windowbag unit (8).


