Remove/install

Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Disconnect battery ground line

Remove top part of dashboard

Fold soundproofing (1) in area of screw/bolts (2) forward

Release and disconnect electrical connector from front passenger airbag squib (R12/8) at gas generator

Remove screws/bolts (2) from front passenger airbag

 Bolt, front passenger airbag unit to instrument panel carrier

Remove front passenger airbag

8

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system

When replacing front passenger airbag


