Remove/install

Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).

Remove glove box.

Release and disconnect electrical connections (1).

 Installation: Ensure that the catch mechanism engages audibly.

 Removal lever

Remove ground clip (2).

 Bolt, ground connection of front passenger airbag to crossmember below instrument panel

Remove screw/bolts (3).

 Bolt, front passenger airbag unit to instrument panel

Unscrew nuts (4).

 Nut, front passenger airbag unit to instrument panel

Remove front passenger airbag (5).

 Installation: Insert front passenger airbag (5) into guide (6).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

9

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing the front passenger airbag (5).


