| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
2 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | ||
3 | Remove trim at bottom for instrument panel on driver's side. | ||
4 | Remove bottom trim for instrument panel on front passenger side. | ||
5 | Loosen floor covering in driver and front passenger footwell in working area and place to one side. | ||
6 | Unlock powertrain control unit (N127) and place to one side with connected lines. | | |
7 | Unscrew nuts (1). | Screw/nut, control unit to vehicle floor | |
8 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (2). | ||
9 | Remove Supplemental Restraint System control unit (N2/10). | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
11 | Commission Supplemental Restraint System control unit (N2/10). | When replacing Supplemental Restraint System control unit (N2/10). | |
