Remove/install

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery.

Disconnect ground on additional battery for park pawl emergency shift.

Model 907 with transmission 722.9 and code SH2 (Front passenger thorax/pelvis side airbag)

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

 Unlock the electrical connection (1).

Remove electrical connector (2) from electrical connector (3).

 To do so, release catch hooks (4) and pull electrical connector (2) toward rear.

Remove retaining clips (5) from seat frame base.

 Installation: Check retaining clips (5) for any damage.

 Clip remover

If the retaining clips (5) are damaged.



Replace retaining clips (5).

Remove front passenger seat cushion padding.

Model 907, 910 except code H15 (Seat heating for front passenger)

Remove seat occupancy recognition (6).

 To do so, release catch hooks (7).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If the seat occupancy recognition (6) is replaced.



Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit
