Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery.

Disconnect ground on additional battery for park pawl emergency shift.

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

 Unlock the electrical connection (1).

Detach electrical connector (2) from electrical connector (3).

 To do this, release catch hooks (4) and pull electrical connector (2) towards the rear.

Detach retaining clips (5) from seat frame base.

 Installation: Check retaining clips (5) for any damage.

If the retaining clips (5) are damaged,



Replace retaining clips (5).

Remove seat cushion padding with seat occupancy recognition (6).

 Remove seat cushion cover from seat cushion padding.

 Model 907, 910 with code H16 (Seat heating for driver)
Installation: Use new heat mat.

Detach seat occupancy recognition (6) from seat cushion padding.

 Installation:
Ensure correct installation position of seat occupancy recognition (6).
Otherwise malfunctions will occur.

 To do this, remove seat occupancy recognition (6) with electronics (11) from holes (8), catches (9) and cutout (10).

 Removal: Separate heat mat from seat cushion padding and dispose of heat mat with seat cushion padding.

 Installation: Insert seat occupancy recognition (6) into holes (8) with "TOP" markings on tabs (7) upwards and then insert into catches (9) and cutout (10). Then place electronics (11) in cutout (12).

Installation: Use new seat cushion padding.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If the seat occupancy recognition (6) was replaced.


