Remove/install

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Remove trim from C-pillar.

Remove bolt (1) and place seat belt (3) with seat belt guide bracket (2) to one side.

 Screw in rear seat belt guide bracket

Release and disconnect electrical connector (6) on seat belt retractor (4).

 Installation:
Make sure that the electrical connector (6) engages correctly.
Otherwise, the function of the seat belt retractor(4) is not ensured.

 Removal lever

Remove bolt (5) and remove seat belt (3) with seat belt retractor (4).

 Screw/nut, rear seat belt retractor

Install in the reverse order.

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) with diagnostic device.

When replacing the seat belt retractor(4).


