Remove/install

Move front seat (1) until bolt (2) is accessible

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Disconnect ground line of on-board electrical system battery

 Before conducting any maintenance operations, switch off ignition, disconnect battery negative pole then wait for at least 3 minutes.

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery

Disconnect ground on additional battery for park pawl emergency shift

Remove seat belt end fitting (3) from B-pillar

except code SL1 (Reclining co-driver's seat)

 To do so, remove bolt (2).
Check bearing washer (5) for damage.

 Bolt, belt end fitting to B-pillar

If the bearing washer (5) is damaged



Replace damaged bearing washer (5).

Remove seat belt end fitting (3) of seat belt (4) from front seat (1)

Otherwise, the seat belt (4) will malfunction.

Install in the reverse order


