Remove/install

Remove paneling at right from seat frame of passenger bench seat

When removing the backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4).

Remove back shell from respective backrest of passenger bench seat

Disconnect electrical connector (1) from backrest motor, left bench seat (M17/3) or from backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4)

Unscrew bolt (2)

Remove bolts (3)

 Screw/bolt, backrest frame to seat backrest adjustment

Insert assembly wedge (5) between backrest frame (4) and seat frame (6) until shaft (7) is accessible

Pull out shaft (7), as shown, until backrest motor, left bench seat (M17/3) or backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4) can be removed

 Observe installation position of shaft (7).

Remove backrest motor, left bench seat (M17/3) or backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4)

Install in the reverse order

Adjust seat backrest adjustment

When replacing the backrest motor, left bench seat (M17/3) or the backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4).

Perform function check of backrest motor, left bench seat (M17/3) or backrest motor, right bench seat (M17/4)
