Remove/install

Move front seat fully upward.

Move front seat backward until the driver seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/5) or front passenger seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/6) is accessible.

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect electrical connectors (1) at respective control unit.

Number of electrical connectors (1), depending on equipment installed.

Release catch hooks (2) on both sides using a suitable screwdriver (arrow A) and slide respective control unit fully upward in front area (arrow B).

The front guides (3) must be in contact with the catch hooks (2) and push back the catch hooks (2).

Remove respective control unit forward out of holder (4).

Installation: The rear guides (5) must engage in the cutouts (arrows C) at the bracket (4).

Install in the reverse order

Perform commissioning of driver seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/5) or front passenger seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/6) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing driver seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/5) or front passenger seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/6).

Perform normalization of driver or front passenger seat using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing driver seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/5) or front passenger seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/6).

Disconnect diagnostic system.

Check

Perform function test of front seat adjustment.
