Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Remove seat backrest cover from seat backrest frame (3) at bottom

 Until retaining clips (2) on seat backrest frame (3) are accessible.

Remove retaining clips (2) from seat backrest frame (3)

 Remove retaining clips (2) depending on equipment installed.
Check retaining clips (2) for damage.

If retaining clips (2) are damaged



replace damaged retaining clips (2).

Disconnect electrical connection (1)

Remove hooks (4) from seat backrest frame (3)

Remove wire mat (9) with lumbar support

 To do so, remove wire mat (9) upwards out of catches (5) of seat backrest frame (3) and disconnect electrical connector (6).

Remove retaining clips (10) from felt mat (8)

 To do so, lift up lower air cushion lumbar support (11) in area of lower retaining clips (10).
Check retaining clips (10) for damage.

If retaining clips (10) are damaged



Replace damaged retaining clip (10).

Remove air cushion lumbar support (11), electrical pneumatic pump lumbar support (7), lumbar support adjustment control unit (12) with felt mat (8) downwards from wire mat (9)

 Installation: Note assembly position of felt mat (8) on wire mat (9).

Install in the reverse order


