Remove/install

Remove passenger seat

With limited accessibility of panel (1).

Remove front panel at seat frame to passenger seat

Fold passenger seat forward

If passenger seat was not removed.

Unclip catch hooks (3, 4, 5) of panel (1) in numerical order at seat frame


Carefully unclip paneling (1).
There is a risk of breakage of the catch hooks (3, 4, 5) at panel (1).

Disconnect Electrical connection (9)

Remove electrical wiring harness from panel (1)

 To do so, remove bracket (10).

Fold passenger seat back

If passenger seat was not removed.

Fold up backrest at passenger seat

Remove cover (6) at handle (2)

Unscrew bolt (7)

Loosen catch hooks of handle (2), as shown, and detach handle (2) from backrest adjustment lever (8)


Only lift tab at handle (2) until catch hook of handle (2) is released at backrest adjustment lever (8).
Otherwise the handle (2) can be extended too far and the catch hook therefore does not engage correctly after installation of the handle (2).

Pull panel (1) over backrest adjustment lever (8) and remove


Carefully remove panel (1).
Danger of damage.

Install in the reverse order
