Remove rear seat cushion

Place rear seat cushion with cover facing down on a suitable, clean surface
in order to prevent rear seat cushion from being soiled and damaged.

Remove left rear multicontour backrest switch (S104) or right rear multicontour backrest switch (S103)

Push back catch hooks on frame (2) and remove frame (2) from rear seat cushion

Unhook cover (1) from lugs (4)

Open velcro fastener of cover (1) around circumference of cushion frame (3)

Unhook cover (1) at rear (arrow) from insertion fold in cushion frame (3)

 If necessary, relieve cover (1) by pressing down on cushion frame (3).

Remove cushion frame (3) from foam padding (5) and route electric lines

Pull cover (1) over edge of foam padding (5)

Unhook staple clips (6) from staple wires in foam padding (5) using a suitable tool

Remove cover (1) with staple clips (6)

Unhook staple clips (6) on staple wires in tubes (7) of cover (1)

Pull staple wires out of tubes (7) of cover (1)



Install

Insert staple wires into tubes (7) on cover (1) and align

Fold in cover (1) at side, place on foam padding (5) and align

Hook staple clips (6) into staple wires in tubes (7) of cover (1) using a suitable tool and hook together into staple wire of foam padding (5)

Insert cushion frame (3) into foam padding (5) and route electric lines

Hook cover (1) at rear (arrow) into insertion fold in cushion frame (3)

 If necessary, relieve cover (1) by pressing down on cushion frame (3).

Hook in velcro fastener of cover (1) around circumference of cushion frame (3)

 If necessary, relieve cover (1) by pressing down on cushion frame (3).

Feel for opening for left rear multicontour backrest switch (S104) or right rear multicontour backrest switch (S103) and use a suitable tool to make cuts from corner to corner as shown

When using a new cover (1).

Cut out foam padding of cover (1) in area of opening

When using a new cover (1).

Make holes with approx. 3 mm diameter in cover (1), as shown, using a suitable tool

When using a new cover (1).

Hook cover (1) into lugs (4)

Insert frame (2) into rear seat cushion

 Wide edge must be at top.

Install left rear multicontour backrest switch (S104) or right rear multicontour backrest switch (S103)
