1.1 | Disconnect ground cable from battery | Only on vehicles with code (I13) side airbag (FFO). | |
2 | Unscrew screw (1) from belt end fitting | | |
3 | Remove seat belt out of belt guide | ||
4 | Push seat (10) into its foremost position. Unscrew rear bolts (2) of the seat rails on the console | The seat is removed to improve the display. | |

5 | Push the seat (10) into the rearmost position. Unscrew the front bolts (3, 4) of the seat rails on the console | Installation: First screw in the bolts (2). Press the front of the seat (10) downwards until the seat rails rest on the console over the entire length. Screw in the front bolt (3) then bolt (4) | |

6.1 | Lift up seat (10) and unclip wiring harness (6) from the metal clip (5) of the seat console | Only on vehicles with code (I13) side airbag (FFO), (S17) heated seats (FFO) or belt lock recognition. To unclip the wiring harness (6) open the metal clip (5) downwards using a screwdriver. Installation: Position wiring harness with white marking at the metal clip (5). | |
7.1 | Detach connector (8) with clip (7) at the seat console and disconnect connector (8) | Only on vehicles with code (I13) side airbag (FFO), (S17) heated seats (FFO) or belt lock recognition. Compress locking device (arrows) and disconnect plug. | |
8 | Remove seat (10) | Installation: Do not trap electrical lines between seat console and seat rail. Push seat back gently until both seat rails lock in position. | |
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
10 | Move seat (10) into the center position by means of the seat fore/aft adjustment | The noise of the seat locking in position (click) can be heard. | |
11 | Move the front area of the seat (10) to and fro transverse to the direction of travel (arrow) | If there is movement of 1 to 2 mm between the top and bottom rails, the seat (10) is not OK. |
