Remove

Unclip door sill (2)

 Mounting wedge

Fold backrest of front seat (1) forwards

Unclip covers (6, 9)

Remove screw/bolts (7, 8)

Move front seat (1) all the way back and to the rear

Unclip cover (3)

 Mounting wedge

Unscrew bolts (4, 5)

Disconnect battery ground line

Tilt back front seat (1)

Disconnect electrical connector (10)


After the last seat adjustment, wait for at least 10 s before disconnecting the electrical connector (10).
Otherwise the normalization of the seat will be lost.

Disconnect electrical connector (12) at left front seat control unit (N32/1) or right front seat control unit (N32/2)


After the last seat adjustment, wait for at least 10 s before disconnecting the electrical connector (12).
Otherwise the normalization of the seat will be lost.

Detach pneumatic line (11)

Carefully remove front seat (1) from vehicle

 Helper required.



Install

Carefully insert front seat (1) into the vehicle and tilt back

 Helper required.

Connect electrical connector (10)

Connect electrical connector (12) at left front seat control unit (N32/1) or right front seat control unit (N32/2)

Connect pneumatic line (11)

Carefully tilt front seat (1) forwards

Connect ground cable to battery

Turn in screws/bolts (4, 5)


Tighten screws/bolts (4, 5, 7, 8) in the following operation step sequence.
Otherwise the front seat (1) will not be fitted tension-free, potentially resulting in noise and increased wear.

 Use tightening pattern in mirror reverse for right front seat (1).

Move front seat (1) all the way to the front

Turn in screws/bolts (7, 8)

Move front seat (1) all the way back

Tighten bolt (5)

 Bolt, seat to vehicle floor
