Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

 Before conducting any maintenance operations, switch off ignition, disconnect battery negative pole then wait for at least 3 minutes.

Disconnect ground on additional battery for park pawl emergency shift.

Actuate release (1).

Fold seat cushion padding (2) upward.

Remove electrical wiring harness (3).

 To do so, unclip retaining clip (4).

 Installation: Check retaining clip (4) for damage.

If retaining clip (4) is damaged,



replace the retaining clip (4).

Disconnect electrical connector (5).

 To do so, unlock electrical connector (5).

Remove front passenger seat (8).

 To do so, remove screws (6, 7).

 Aid of helper required.

 Screw, folding front passenger seat to partition

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.

If front passenger seat (8) is to be replaced.



Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit
