Remove remaining adhesive in corresponding bonding area with suitable tool.

 The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Roughen bonding area on side wall window with fine sand paper.

Carefully clean bonding area with commercially available silicon cleaner.

 Position template (3) at position of each bracket (6) to be replaced.

When replacing brackets (6).

 Dimensions:
a = approx. .24 mm
b = approx. .282 mm
c = approx.  555 mm
d = approx.  825 mm

 Position template (4) at position of each bracket (7) to be replaced.

When replacing bracket (7).

  Position template (4) with small stay (arrow A) toward rear as shown.

 Dimensions:
e = approx. .1095 mm

Apply adhesive to rear of corresponding brackets (6, 7).

Position brackets (6, 7) at bottom edge of cutout on corresponding  template (3, 4) and press to side wall window (5) for at least 2 min.

 Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Repair paint damage with primer filler and touch-up paint pen.

If paint was damaged by roughening the adhesive area.

 Use only primer filler and touch-up paint pens approved by Daimler AG.

Remove corresponding  template (3, 4).

 Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.
