Remove remaining adhesive on front sliding door with suitable tool.

When replacing front bracket.

 The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Roughen bonding area on sliding door and sliding door window with fine sand paper.

Carefully clean bonding area with commercially available silicon cleaner.

 Position template (2) flush to front edge of sliding door (5) (arrow A).

When replacing bracket (6).

 Position template (3) at position of each bracket (7) to be replaced.

When replacing bracket (7).

 Dimensions:
b = approx. 300 mm
c = approx. 580 mm
d = approx. 850 mm

 Position template (4) at position of each bracket (8) to be replaced.

When replacing bracket (8).

 Dimensions:
e = approx. 1125 mm

Apply adhesive to rear of corresponding brackets (6, 7, 8).

Position bracket (6, 7, 8) at bottom edge of cutout of corresponding  template (2, 3, 4) and press to sliding door (5) and sliding door window for min 2 min.

 Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Repair paint damage with primer filler and touch-up paint pen.

If paint was damaged by roughening the adhesive area.

 Use only primer filler and touch-up paint pens approved by Daimler AG.

Remove corresponding  template (2, 3, 4).

 Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.
