2 | Remove hydraulic distributor and associated hydraulic lines from trunk lid (1) | On vehicles with code (881) Remote trunk closing (RTC) Observe installation position for hydraulic lines and do not separate hydraulic lines from hydraulic distributor. | |
3 | Remove trunk lid lock (3) | ||
4 | Separate electrical connectors (4) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector from | ||
6 | Expose wiring harness (5) on trunk lid (1) | Until all nuts (6) on right hinge bracket (7) are accessible. | |
7 | Mark installation position of left hinge bracket (8) and right hinge bracket (7) on trunk lid (1), unscrew nuts (6) and remove trunk lid (1) with aid of helper | ||

8 | Place trunk lid (1) on left hinge lever (8) and right hinge lever (7) with aid of helper and tighten nuts (6) until the trunk (1) is fixed in place. | If installation marks are not present, fix trunk lid (1) at rear-most position on left hinge lever (8) and right hinge lever (7) in place, otherwise the trunk lid (1) can collide with the C-pillars. | |
9 | Connect electrical connector on | ||
10 | Install and adjust trunk lid lock (3) | ||
11 | Adjust trunk lid (1) | Vehicles up to end no. 063909 | |

12 | Fasten wiring harness (5) to trunk lid (1) | Replace cable ties. | |
